tőzsér (Hungarian)

Exportation of cattle
Cattle dealer in the late Medieval and early Modern Hungary, who - by taking advantage on the great demand for Hungarian cattle in Europe - made a huge profit for themselves. Since cattle were raised mainly in the Turkish occupied territories, these dealers usually lived in the more important occupied town or in the royal agricultural towns alongside the border. These were the first entrepreneurs in Hungary in the period of Turkish-history, since they often invested their accumulated capital into a new trading transaction or the purchase of land.
