She was born around 1484, daughter of the Marquis of Candale, Gaston II de Foix-Grailly and Katharine. She was related to the French king, Charles VIII. The negotiations on her marriage to Wladislas II began in 1500. The wedding and the coronation were held on 29 September, 1502 in Székesfehérvár. Anna

She was born on 23 July, 1503, daughter of the Hungarian and Czech king, Wladislas II and Anna of Candale. In 1505 Ferdinand was chosen to be her husband, but it was unclear even in 1515 which of the two brothers Charles or Ferdinand (the two grandsons of Maximilian) should marry her. Finally in 1516 Ferdinand became her fiancé, and the wedding was held in 1521. After 1526 she became the Hungarian and Czech queen. They had 15 children. She died on 27 January, 1547, and was buried in Prague.

Louis (Lajos) II

He was born on 1 July, 1506, the second son of the Czech and Hungarian king, Wladislas II and Anna of Candale. He was crowned Hungarian king on 4 June, 1508, during his father's lifetime, and he was also crowned Czech king on 11 March, 1509. His future wife had been chosen before his birth, in 1506: she was Maria, emperor Maximilian's granddaughter. On 11 December 1521 he took the coronation oath personally, and took over the governing of the country. In 1522 he married Maria, but they did not have any children. He died at the age of 20, on 29 August, 1526, in the battle of Mohács. His body was found in the Csele brook two months after the battle. He was buried in Székesfehérvár.
