general meeting

Meeting at a law court held by a dignitary or the county ispán [bailiff] for one or more counties. Its goal was to search for criminals and make sentences over them, but actions for possession and other legal actions were also processed here. At these general meetings - which were held at the border of the village in a camp for many days - noblemen were obliged to participate. There was a long break (many years) between general meetings.

dieta

Meetings, where - besides prelates and barons - servants, and later the nobilty also represented themselves, mostly through their representatives. The aim of these meetings was to provide jurisdiction at first, but other decisions were also made. The king asked the agreement of the country with his decisions here and he tried to solve the problems of those who appeared.
