We have referred many times to the source, origin and integration of certain elements of Hungarian folk culture. We still feel, however, that at the end of our book we must summarize the situation of this cultural heritage within Europe. Furthermore, if we are to speak of its past, we should attempt to designate its present place and its place in Hungarian culture of the future, that is to say, we shall attempt to outline the ways folk culture continues to exist within socialist culture.
