The raw materials of clothing are extremely varied. In Hungary chiefly linen, mostly hemp and less frequently flax linen, broadcloth, and felt made from wool, and of many different kinds of sheepskin and leather were used for pieces of garments. From earliest times these provided the basis for the clothing of the Magyar people. We shall now take a closer look at their processing.
